Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Email address — when you sign up using Google Sign-In.
• Google account information — we obtain your email address from Google at sign-in.
• Check information — the names and check-in intervals of the monitoring tasks you create.
• Billing information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, your email address and subscription details are shared with our payment processor, Stripe, to process payment. We do not receive or store your card details; these are handled entirely by Stripe.

Information collected automatically

• Ping request records — the time each Check's Ping URL is requested, used to determine whether a task ran on time.
• Standard server log information, such as request IP address and timestamps, used for security investigation and troubleshooting.

How We Use Information

• To provide and maintain the process monitoring service, including determining Check status (New / Up / Down).
• To send you an alert via whichever notification channel(s) you've configured when a Check times out without a check-in.
• To maintain your login session and plan quota (Free / Pro).

Use of Cookies

Doyouok uses only one essential login-session cookie (doyouok_auth) to maintain your login session; it is not used for advertising tracking or analytics. This cookie is HttpOnly, valid for up to 30 days, and expires immediately when you sign out.

Information Sharing

• Google: used for identity authentication (OAuth).
• Stripe: used to process payments for paid plans and manage subscriptions; we share your email and billing details necessary to process a transaction.
• Notification channels: depending on which channels you configure, we may use third-party services to deliver alerts, transmitting only the information necessary to deliver the alert.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose relevant information where required by law, regulation, or court order.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Data Retention

Account information is retained for as long as the account exists; once an account or Check is deleted, the related data is removed from our systems. You may contact us at any time to request deletion of your account and related data.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls. However, please note that no method of transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws such as Australia's Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you. Please contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children's Privacy

Doyouok is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
