Setup guide, answers to common questions, and a free assistant for the Doyouok integration for Zapier: alerts when a Zap misses a run or runs but returns the wrong result.
The Doyouok integration is invite-only for now. Sign in to Zapier, then accept the invitation to use it in your Zaps.

Ask the assistant
Hi! Ask me anything about the Doyouok integration for Zapier: the API token, Report Run, failures, alerts or plans.
Add the integration
- The Doyouok integration for Zapier is invite-only for now. Sign in to Zapier, open the invite link on this page and accept the invitation.
- Then add an action step in any Zap and search for "Doyouok". It has one action, Report Run, which reports one run of your Zap to Doyouok.
Connect your Doyouok account
- Sign in to doyouok.com (the Free plan is enough) and open Profile > API tokens. Only the account owner can create tokens.
- Enter a token name such as "Zapier", press "Create token" and copy the token. It starts with dyo_ and is shown only once.
- In Zapier, add the Report Run action, press Sign in next to Account and paste the token into API Token. Zapier checks the token when you save the connection.
Monitor a Zap
- Add Report Run as the last step of the Zap, after the steps that do the work, and choose your Doyouok account.
- Check: leave "A check by name (created on the first run)" and type a Check Name, such as the Zap's name. Or choose "An existing check" and pick a check from the list.
- Expected Interval (Minutes): how often the Zap runs, for example 60 for hourly or 1440 for daily. Doyouok alerts you when no report arrives within this time.
- Result: Success or Failure. To decide by a condition, map a value from an earlier step: success, true, ok, yes or 1 reports a success; fail, false, error, failed, no or 0 reports a failure. Or use a Filter or Paths with a fixed Result on each path. Failure Reason is optional and is shown in the alert.
- Test the step and publish the Zap. The first report creates the check and can take up to 20 seconds while the new check is activated. The check then appears on your Doyouok dashboard.
Example: a nightly import
- The Zap runs every day at 02:00 with Schedule by Zapier. Step 2 imports new rows and returns how many it imported.
- Step 3 is a Filter that only continues when the imported count is greater than 0, and step 4 is Report Run: Check "A check by name", Check Name "Nightly import", Expected Interval 1440, Result Success.
- If rows were imported, the run is reported as successful. If the import ran but imported 0 rows, the Filter stops the Zap, no report arrives and Doyouok alerts you that the run is overdue. If the Zap did not run at all, you get the same overdue alert.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The integration is free. Each check uses one check from your Doyouok plan, and the Free plan includes 5 checks with no credit card. Starter includes 50 checks for $5/month. All plans are on the pricing page at doyouok.com/home/pricing. On the Zapier side, Report Run counts as one task per run.
The integration is invite-only for now. Open the invite link on this page while you are signed in to Zapier and accept the invitation. Then Doyouok appears when you search for it in an action step.
Two kinds: a Zap that does not run on schedule (it was turned off, ran out of tasks, or stopped on an error before the last step), and a Zap that runs but gives a wrong result, such as 0 rows imported. The second kind is a silent failure: Zapier shows the run as successful, so nobody notices.
No. With "A check by name" the action creates the check on the first run and reports to it on later runs. Changing Expected Interval updates the check on the next run.
A new check is activated about 10 seconds after it is created, so the first report waits until Doyouok accepts it, up to about 20 seconds. Later runs don't wait.
The Check Name identifies the check, so a new name creates a new check on the next run. The old check stops receiving reports; delete it in Doyouok if you no longer need it.
Map Result to a value from an earlier step, such as a true/false field or a status like error (fail, false, error, failed, no and 0 report a failure); or use Paths with a Report Run with a fixed Result on each path. To report a Zap that stops on an error, create a second Zap: Zapier Manager's New Zap Error trigger, then Report Run with the same Check Name and Expected Interval and Result Failure.
The list shows checks created on doyouok.com and checks created by Zapier. Checks created by n8n, Make or the Google Sheets add-on are not listed.
Your Doyouok plan has no checks left for a new check. Delete checks you no longer need in Doyouok, or upgrade at doyouok.com/home/pricing. On Agency plans, create the check on doyouok.com with a client name, then choose "An existing check" in Report Run.
The check's name and, for a failure, your Failure Reason. Alerts go to your email and to Telegram, Slack or Discord if you connected them on the Notifications page in Doyouok.
A check created by Zapier belongs to the Zap: its name and interval come from Report Run. Change them in Zapier; Doyouok updates the check on the next run.
The Check Name, the expected interval, whether the run succeeded, and on a failure your Failure Reason. Your Zap's other data is not sent.
Yes. In Doyouok open Profile > API tokens and press Revoke. Report Run checks the token on every run, so Zaps using that connection stop reporting and their checks alert as overdue until you remove the step or delete the checks.
